The International Foundation for Gender Education

The Houston Transgender Unity Banquet will be held at the Westchase Hilton,Grand Ballroom, 9999 Westheimer in Houston Texas, on April 16, 2005. Cocktails and reception begin at 6:30pm, dinner will be served at 8:00pm. This years Guest Speaker will be Annise Parker, Well known out and proud lesbian and Houston City Comptroller.

This is the 13th annual banquet, originally started by Peggy Rudd (with
assistance from Rene Fenner), designed to bring the transgender community
together, allowing all of the different groups to come together at one time
in one place. It is a great time to meet others in the community, share
some ideas, make new friends, and renew old acquaintances.

We are proud to announce that last year we started the Peggy Rudd
Transgender Scholarship Fund for deserving out transgender-identified people or their children to further their academic goals. A large percentage of funds raised this year will go to that scholarship fund.

Those of you who attended last year (the largest crowd ever) remember the
great entertainment supplied by Don Gill and the DJ who spun music well into
the night. This year will be a repeat of those happenings.

We sincerely hope that you will join us for the 13th Annual Transgender
Unity Banquet, at the Westchase Hilton, Grand Ballroom, 9999 Westheimer in Houston Texas on April 16, 2005. The Hilton has set aside a block of rooms for those coming from out of town, or those in town just wishing to stay at the hotel. Room cost is $59.00 per night (please when you book be sure to tell them that you are attending the Unity Banquet).
